Tobi X Reader - Writer's Block

“... What’s _______ doing?” You almost jumped out of your skin hearing that instantly recognisable voice from the orange masked man behind you. You scramble to hide the papers you have scattered all over your desk as Tobi watches you, head tilted to the side.

“Nothing!” You yell, but it looks like not even Tobi’s going to accept that answer as he continues to stare at you with childish curiousity.  “... Fine.” You sigh, relieving a little of the tension that you had built up. “If you must know, I was writing a story.” Tobi squeals in delight and starts to ask if he can read it, before you cut him off. “Or at least I would be... I can’t think of anything to write.” You admit, kicking one of the screwed up paper balls littering the floor.

Maybe you’re really not cut out for this artsy stuff, but it still intrigues you. You kind of do want to be a part of what the Akatsuki artists have going on; they seem so passionate about it.

“Tobi’s good at telling stories! He will help!” Your eyes widen in horror as said man tries to take hold of the papers you’re holding onto so tightly. They fly over the room in the tug-of-war that inevitably ensues. You dive to catch them all, but not before Tobi picks up one you’d especially been dreading him seeing. Not being able to come up with a name for the main character you’d just written his in there for now and soon after that started getting bored, doodling love hearts over the paper, some near Tobi’s name... okay, maybe a lot.

You’re almost sure you can see a smug grin through that mask of his as he looks up at you after staring at the paper for an agonisingly long time; you’d been praying right then that he didn’t know how to read. It’s pretty obvious that he does though when he leaps on you with a hug, his mask rubbing against your cheek as you cry out in protest.
